NBA rumors regarding Jeremy Lin seemed to unwavering even after the 28-year-old veteran landed a contract with Brooklyn Nets. After hitting series of a low point in his NBA career, it seems like positive news will soon envelop former Linsanity sensation, especially after being pegged as the new face of the franchise.

For some, the Nets may be an odd team for Lin to be with. However, Lin and the Nets were already familiar with each right just after a season went wrong with the L.A. Lakers. Back then, the Asian-American basketball star has already been spotted by the Nets, but it seems like they were never legitimately a contender concerning where Lin wanted to go. The Nets fell short to meet the expectations of Lin, so to speak.

During those times, Lin wanted to play with Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN, but the said team chose former Nets guard Deron Williams, while Lin settled for a two-year, $4.3 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets. It was then that Lin realized that his value has totally dropped so much during his stint with the Lakers.

But despite the drop and transfer to the least team in the NBA, Lin's value was soon restored after a coming off an excellent season with the Hornets. And such value was greatly noticed by the Brooklyn Nets and a testament to this is his three-year $36 million contract deal, according to RealGm.

This time around, the Nets made sure that Lin will be delighted to play for them. Apart from having his former mentor and friend, Kenny Atkinson on board the team, the franchise made sure that Lin will feel that his top priority for the team.

ESPN on their report pointed out that the Nets was even in competition with  New Orleans Pelican, but latter weren't willing to pay what the former is offering Lin. Apart from the monetary concerns, the current team of Jeremy Lin also made the former Linsanity felt special. As a result, the confidence level of Linsanity is almost back to its peak.

'Man, this is really cool.' And it feels natural again. The last three years, I've kind of been a backup or lost in the mix. Here, everything just seems so much more clear." Lin told ESPN

But despite the relative rebound of Lin's career, some NBA enthusiasts managed to criticize the NBA player's previous statements and sentiments of being overlooked as a player with potential.  And somehow these comments pose as challenge for Lin to prove himself and his worth as a Nets' franchise player.

Guess we would just have to wait and see how Lin will perform with the Brooklyn Nets in the upcoming NBA season. Stay tuned for more NBA rumors news regarding Lin and the rest of teams in the league.
