If reports are anything to go by, Huawei Mate 9 will be launched next month.

According to reports, the Chinese manufacturer Huawei is getting ready for its biggest release of the year. The company has revealed the Nova Plus and Nova at this year's IFA conference in Berlin.

Speculations are making the rounds that Huawei is about to launch its newest flagship, the Mate 9 in November. Reports indicate that the smartphone will have a larger screen than any other present flagship phones.

The Huawei Mate 9 will reportedly sport a 5.9-inch display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920-pixels. Rumor has it that the device will continue to dominate in the extremely competitive phablet market.

It is expected that the Huawei Mate 9 will have a Kirin 960 chipset together with 6 GB or 4 GB of RAM.

Several reports indicate that there will be two versions of the device - a model codenamed Long Island that is believed to have the most premium specifications and a curved display, and another variant named Manhattan.

It is believed that the Long Island model will come with a QHD resolution to support Daydream virtual reality. Rumor has it that the device will be available in China only.

Furthermore, the Mate 9 will have a 20 MP and 12-MP dual camera setup. The device will reportedly come with Android 7.0 N out of the box together with the company's Emotion user interface on top. Reports claim that the smartphone will cost around $480.

Meanwhile, according to a CNET report, Huawei has announced the Kirin 960 chipset. The processor will feature the most powerful mobile GPU the world has ever come across.

The chipset will feature the most powerful GPU present in phones, the ARM Mali-G71, AnandTech reported.

According to reports, the ARM Mali-G71 will be 1.8 times as powerful as the Mali-T880 MP12 GPU. Also, the Mali-G71 GPU uses new Bifrost architecture that is said to offer high-end 4K and virtual reality experiences.

It is compatible with Android RenderScript, GPU Compute, OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan. Kirin 960 will deliver better processing performance by 15%, graphical improvements to 180%, and will deliver 20% better GPU efficiency.
