Burnley has struggled in its campaign in the English top flight so far with only two wins in eight games to boot. They are currently at the 14th place in the overall standings after being winless in five of their last six games, only a point above the bottom three relegation zone.

The Clarets were romped by middling club Southampton, 3-1, on the road at the St. Mary's Stadium last Sunday as they succumbed to their second straight loss, as per The Guardian.

After a goalless first half of play, Southampton broke the deadlock with an awkward goal from former Burnley forward Charlie Austin in the 52nd minute.

Nathan Redmond then added another one in the 61st to double the Saints' lead before Austin scored his second of the game via a penalty kick to make it a 3-0 game in the 66th.

Burnley was able to score a consolation goal in the 72nd as Sam Vokes converted his own spot kick off a foul from Dusan Tadic.

Meanwhile, Everton suffered its third consecutive winless game as they were held to a 1-1 draw by current league leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last Saturday, Sports Mole reported.

It was also a scoreless first half for the two contending squads until Romelu Lukaku scored the opener in the 64th with a brilliant two-on-one goal against City's Gael Clichy and Claudio Bravo.

However, Nolito saved the day for the hosts as he entered the game in the 71st and 90 seconds later headed the equalizer for the Citizens.

The predicted result is a 3-0 rout for Everton.
