Wentworth Miller has shared a substantial amount of new details about the much-awaited "Prison Break" Season 5. The 44-year-old star just dropped the biggest mystery of Michael Scofield's death.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Miller revealed that his character Michael Scofield will manage to make it out alive. In the fifth season of "Prison Break," Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) will discover that his brother Michael is still alive and was detained after being framed by an international terrorist group called ISA.
Along with his wife Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), Lincoln Burrows must figure out how to get Michael out of prison.
"I can tell you it's seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved the first time around," said Miller. He added that "Prison Break" Season 5 will also be quite different as the characters have already changed.
Miller also confirmed that the upcoming revival will hit the small screens in early 2017 with 10 new episodes. However, he stressed that the future of "Prison Break" would depend on how fans respond to the upcoming fifth season.
"We wanted to add to what already exists, which is what a lot of people love and appreciate," Miller stressed. "We don't want to add something that's not of equal value and let anyone down. So we worked really hard."
It came after Purcell was nearly killed in the filming set in Morocco after an iron bar fell onto his head, News.com.au reported. At the time, he was immediately airlifted from Marrakesh to Casablanca to receive treatment.
Apart from the aforementioned characters, Robert Knepper, Paul Adelstein, Amaury Nolasco and Rockman Dunbar will also reprise their role as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, Paul Kellerman, Fernando Sucre and Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin, respectively. New cast additions include Marina Benedict, Mark Feuerstein, Augustus Prew, Steve Mouzakis and Rick Yune.
Stay tuned for more updates as they arrive. While waiting, check out the finale episode of "Prison Break" Season 4 here:
