Watford is having a mercurial campaign so far this season with three victories and three winless games in their last six matches. Their performance has settled them to the ninth spot of the 20-team English top flight table, tied on points with Bournemouth but has a higher goal difference than the Cherries.

The Hornets were held to a 0-0 tie by another bottom three squad, Swansea City, on the road at the Liberty Stadium last Saturday, Goal reported.

Head coach Walter Mazzarri's side had two penalty appeals ignored by referee Paul Tierney in the first half while Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson almost netted the opening goal twice in the first 30 minutes. Saves from Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes prevented the hosts from breaking the deadlock.

It was the second away draw for the Hornets this season and a second straight clean sheet for Gomes.

Meanwhile, Hull City dropped a 0-2 game to rising squad Stoke City at their home ground of KCOM Stadium also last Saturday, as per ESPN.

Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri scored a brace for the visitors in the 26th and 50th minutes to hand head coach Mike Phelan's team their fifth straight defeat.

With the loss, the Tigers dropped to the 18th place in the overall standings, within the bottom three relegation area.

Hull City opened the season with a two-game winning run, defeating defending champions Leicester City, 2-1, in their opener before blanking Swansea City, 2-0, in the second round.

The team has been winless since then as they go on a downward spiral after getting promoted from the Football League Championship last season.

Prediction and Predicted Lineup

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 decision for Watford.

Watford starting lineup (5-3-2 formation): Gomes; Zuniga, Prödl, Kaboul, Britos, Holebas; Pereyra, Behrami, Capoue; Deeney, Ighalo

Hull City starting lineup (4-1-4-1 formation): Marshall; Elmohamady, Dawson, Davies, Clucas; Huddlestone; Meyler, Livermore, Mason, Snodgrass; Keane
