No Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak Release Soon? Downgrading and Sideloading Will Do the Trick

Apple unveiled its mobile operating system, iOS 10, during WWDC 2016.

Apple made iOS 10.1 official last week and almost immediately the jailbreak community was fired up by rumors that the release of iOS 10 jailbreak will happen shortly. But seven days have passed and still no JB tool from Pangu. Good thing there are existing alternative if only for temporary fix.

As no word yet when Pangu, TaiG or iH8sn0w will make the next fully working and untethered jailbreak public, Neurogadget offered a few solutions and one of them is a form of sideloading or using jailbreak tweaks minus the process of jailbreaking. In essence, Cydia that is the source of JB tweaks and apps will be replaced in order for one to enjoy the provisional jailbreak experience.

This will be made possible by installing the so-called Cydia alternative known as Mojo. "The cool thing about Mojo is that it requires no jailbreaking whatsoever, meaning that you don't have to trade your device's integrity or even warranty for some flashy new apps. Most apps and app categories that are available on Cydia can also be found on Mojo," Neurogadget said on its report.

But make no mistake, using Mojo is not without risks such as affording an opening to malware attacks, annoying adware or just plain bloatware.

Or jailbreak fans can just opt for the real jailbreak environment, more appropriately install the next best jailbreak available. That would entail downgrading to iOS 9.3.xx, which is a process called roll back. The normal route will not allow this as Apple has already stopped signing off iOS 9.3.5 so there's no turning back for those who jumped to iOS 10.1.

The workaround solution would be a tool called Tinyumbrella. Yet before heading to this path, know that "downgrading is not something Apple is encouraging, so if you do it, it is at your own risk, but using Tinyumbrella should guarantee your downgrade occurs with no problems," according to Neurogadget.

Still, it would be best if iOS 10 will be real soon. Jailbreak fans are convinced that the iPhone and iPad modifier will be based on the latest big update of the mobile operating system, which is iOS 10.1 (that Apple deployed following the 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 versions.

Cydia creator Jay Freeman, aka Saurik, has recently indicated that it is Pangu alone that has some credible works to make possible an iOS 10 jailbreak release and not Luca Todesco nor even iH8sn0w. And since iOS 10.1 is now a reality, then the rollout of the jailbreak counterpart is happening real soon.
