iPad Air 3 could be revealed on March 2017 or not at all

iPad Air 3 will launch in March 2017 instead of in November 2016 due to iPad Pro 9.7

Apple has not yet announced the iPad Air 3 despite holding the "Hello Again" event held recently which led to many speculating that it might be the end of the line.

In fact, the iPad Air 3 was supposed to be launched in 2015. A year later and there seems to be no news yet for the new iPad which has been anticipated by fans across the world.

Apple released the bigger and better iPad Pro which shocked the world. Some believe that it took the place of the iPad Air 3 considering that it has better specs and features compared to the anticipated device.

There hasn't been a new iPad Air in two years which means that there could be no iPad Air 3 at all, Engadget has learned. The Cupertino-based tech giant has been quiet about the said device and there have been no leaks yet from industry insiders.

Those who own the iPad Pro are better off with the new A9x processor crammed in Apple's tablet. The previous Air models only had A8 which is seriously outdated by today's standards even though they can still work just fine for everyday use.

iPad Air 3 Specs (Rumored)

Apple could use the new A9x processor for the iPad Air 3 and it could also possibly have up to 4GB RAM for seamless multitasking across apps, Neurogadget reported. Other rumored specs include an 8MP rear camera coupled with a 2.1MP front snapper for endless selfies.

As for the iPad Air 3 release date, some speculate that it would come on March 2017. Others also believe that it would be revealed alongside the iPad Pro 2 which is expected to be the best model there is for the iPad line.

No confirmation has been given by the Cupertino-based tech giant regarding the rumors. The lack of industry insider leaks is also a bad sign for the iPad Air line considering that it has been two years since the last release.

Fans will have to wait until March 2017 to see whether there will still be a new iPad Air 3. Apple's silence might mean that they could still be developing the device or not at all.
