Surface Pro 5: Surface Book receives huge discounts; Will Surface Pro 5 be launched with a discount?

Surface Pro 5 was missing in action during the recently concluded Microsoft event where new product lines were revealed. However, despite the lack of precise information, Microsoft's head of industrial design, Ralf Groene, still managed to share some revelations about the upcoming Surface Pro 5 that every tech-enthusiast must carefully watch.

Many tech savvy were caught off guard during the Windows 10 event where they launched Microsoft Surface Book i7, but no sign of the much anticipated Surface Pro 5. And with the non-existence of the update on Microsoft Surface Pro, many fans are now speculating on the upcoming specs of Surface Pro 5.

With regards to the speculations and rumors about the next Microsoft Surface Pro, Groene somehow shed some light on the upcoming feature of Surface Pro 5 saying that they always try to "refine and push things forward."

This revelation of new philosophy toward Surface at Microsoft somehow points to the idea that change is coming for Surface Pro 5 as most rumors would suggest. During Groene's interview with TheVerge, when pushed about the design of Surface Pro 5, he affirmed the idea of creating something crazy, but audio jacks will not be removed from the Surface brand. And such statement in a way refers to Apple's removal of their audio jack from their latest product release.

From the said interview and the latest product launches, though lacking of specific details regarding the design and specs Surface Pro 5, it can be deduced that Microsoft is preparing a much larger platform for its hardware efforts, according to The Verge.

Despite the lack of conclusive evidence or affirmation from the tech giant, various speculations are proliferating online regarding the specs or design of Surface Pro 5. Perhaps the most popular rumored spec would be the inclusion of a 4K/UHD display having a 3860 x 2560p display along with Intel's Kaby Lake chips, which PC Advisor highlighted.

Apart from the specs being reported online, reports also claim that 2017 would likely be the arrival of the next Microsoft Surface Pro. PCAdvisor also pointed the fact that Redstone 2 is not coming out until Spring. Thus 2017 will likely be the release option of the said product.

Since there are still no confirmation or any substantial evidence to support the claim, apart from the words of Microsoft's head of industrial design, it would be best to wait for further notice and try to hide the excitement and anticipation of the Surface Pro 5.
