Dating speculations sparked between Taylor Swift and Drake when they were seen frequently spending time together. Recently, the two award-winning artists' growing closeness were clarified when news of their music collaboration surfaced.

Swift and Drake have embarked on a new project that is set to introduce a different kind of music for avid fans. A source told E!News that the two musicians have been spending a lot of time in the studio together to work on their new music collaboration.

Described as an unlikely music duo, the "You Belong to Me" crooner and the rapper's new songs are said to be very different from the two musicians' usual tracks. Music lovers will soon hear unique songs with a "very catchy" beat, according to the source.

The source also dispelled dating speculations and clarified that the two musicians are only friends. Swift and Drake both have a professional relationship given their new music collaboration project, the source stated.

The dating rumors between the two celebrities first started after the "Shake it Off" singer was seen acting affectionately towards Drake during the rapper's birthday party. Several reports shared how Drake even had his arm around Swift as they talked at the said event.

Meanwhile, Swift's music partnership with Drake will mark the first time that the two award-winning musicians will work together. However, Tom Hiddleston's former girlfriend already had earlier collaborations with other hip-hop artists such as Kendrick Lamar for Swift's hit 2014 track "Bad Blood."

In other news, Swift made a surprise appearance during the 50th Country Music Awards (CMA) held on Nov. 2, Wednesday. Swift's appearance was kept under wraps until the event's host Brad Paisley unveiled the singer's appearance during the event. The Grammy Award winner showed her support by presenting Garth Brooks' with the CMA's Entertainer of the Year award.  

The pop singer's CMA appearance marked the musician's quick visit to the country music scene. A former country artist, Swift only transitioned to the pop music in 2014 with the release of her "1989" album, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The musician's first four albums were considered country albums. Swift's debut single titled "Tim McGraw" also made mention of the said country singer's music.
