Felipe Massa, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso and Bruno Senna attend the drivers press conference during previews for the Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Details concerning Michael Schumacher's recovery have reached far and wide, especially within the online community. However, most of them have been built on mere speculations, making it very difficult to distinguish propagandas from authentic reports.

According to Australia Network News, the truth is, Schumacher's health updates have been difficult to come by ever since the F1 legend suffered a skiing accident. His family has particularly chosen to remain tightlipped and reserved about the whole issue for privacy reasons.

Therefore, as much as news about him have been surfacing on the web, much of it is false. Recently, Schumacher's lawyer Felix Damm denied all reports that had claimed that his client was responding greatly to treatment.

Apparently, online publications had pointed out that Schumacher's recovery speed was terrific and that he had even started walking with the help of specialists. But Damm slammed these reports, regarding them as mere conjectures. He further clarified that the F1 legend was still in bad shape.

According to CNN, Schumacher's true health state has remained critical since his accident, and this has come as a burden to his family. Fans and sympathizers have, as well, endured the ordeal, hoping that their champion will live to see a brighter day.

This partly explains why the official Michael-Schumacher Facebook page has just been reactivated. The page was rebooted just in time for the anniversary of Schumacher's first Formula One World Championship title. Here is the opening message:

This is the first instance that anyone from the Schumacher camp has demonstrated an open stance towards his fans since Dec. 23. Earlier on, only limited updates had been publicized about the state of his health and triumphs.

Majority of these reports were released through Schumacher's longtime manager Sabine Kehm, the family's lawyer, and close sources. Kehm still calls for responsible reporting when it comes to his client's condition. In the meantime, fans hope that the new Facebook page will open more avenues for communication.

Schumacher is known to have won five consecutive titles from 2000-2004. He also holds other records such as fastest laps, most race wins, most races won in a single season (2004), and most pole positions. Watch the clip below for more:
