BTS continued its winning streak with its second album "Wings," while TWICE's new album recently reached an impressive milestone. Both Kpop albums landed a spot on the Top 5 list of Billboard's World Albums chart.
The Kpop idol girl group TWICE's new mini-album titled "TWICEcoaster: LANE 1" entered the Billboard World Albums list for the week covering the period of Nov. 12, according to Star News. Released on Oct. 24, the group's new album debuted at number three on the said chart.
With TWICE's rising popularity, the Kpop girl group's new song "TT" has also captured the interest of avid fans. Considered as the title track for "TWICEcoaster: LANE 1," the nine-member girl group has been busy promoting the said song to various South Korean music shows.
Meanwhile, BTS' second studio album "Wings" has been on Billboard's World Albums chart for two consecutive weeks. Previously at number one, the said album dropped to number two, as indicated in the same report.
Launched on Oct. 10, "Wings" has been breaking several Billboard Kpop records. BTS' new album became the highest-charting Kpop album having beaten 2NE1's earlier record. "Wings" nabbed the 26th spot on the Billboard 200, while 2NE1's 2014 album "Crush" entered the said chart at number 61.
Apart from BTS and TWICE, the South Korean singer Jay Park's new album titled "Everything You Wanted" also claimed a spot on Billboard's World Albums list. Released on Oct. 20, the said album dropped to number four after landing the number three spot during the previous week's chart.
In other news, BTS' recently set a new Kpop YouTube record with the group's "Blood Sweat & Tears" music video. The said music clip surpassed 40 million views in just 23 days, Korean news outlet Wow TV reported.
