Avengers: Infinity War is a two-part superhero film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo as part of phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

New details and spoilers for "Avengers" Infinity War" will feature Iron Man and Doctor Strange team-up, Quicksilver's possible return and plans for Phase 4 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel president Kevin Feige teased several character team-ups in "Avengers: Infinity War" and in the next "Avengers" film all the way to Phase 4 of the MCU. One particular team-up that Feige revealed will be Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Cumberbatch previously stated in an interview that Doctor Strange will be responsible for reuniting the Avengers in "Infinity War" particularly Tony Stark and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) mending the broken trust they have after "Captain America: Civil War".

Knowing the horrible effects of the Infinity Stones if Thanos (Josh Brolin) completes them, Doctor Strange will need Earth's Mightiest Heroes and even the Guardians of the Galaxy to defeat the Mad Titan.

Aside from the character team-ups, Feige added that he working on possible plans in the MCU after the two "Avengers" sequels in preparation for Phase 4. He teased more intimate movies after that, or to have more interesting, unexpected combinations of characters afterwards, Vulture reported.

In other news, it seems that one character from MCU will return from the dead as "Kick-Ass" star Aaron Taylor-Johnson told Metro UK that he is open to return as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver.

Although Johnson has no idea as to when will Marvel Studios plans to bring Quicksilver back, he was very willing to reprise his role if given the opportunity.

Quicksilver made his MCU debut in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" along with his twin sister Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). During the Avengers fight with Ultron in Solkovia, Quicksilver died in battle saving Hawkeye leaving a tragic mark for Wanda and the rest of the team.

After fans learned about Quicksilver’s on-screen fate, they began petition for his return. Audiences believed that if characters like Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) could ‘come back’ from the grave then so could Pietro. However, Feige went on record to shut those conspiracists down.

Director Joss Whedon also talked about the decision to kill off Quicksilver in MCU as he explained that the sacrifice added weight to what the Avengers are doing. If the team continued to do its jobs without anyone getting scathed, then the director feared audiences would not understand how heroic these members were. Whedon did not want to the team’s work to be disingenuous, so someone had to get beat with a ‘Suffering Stick’ to prove their worth.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while the fourth film is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
