The latest details for "The Flash" season 3 features Savitar coming soon and episode 7 teases Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon fighting Killer Frost.
Executive producer Greg Berlanti and TV series star Grant Gustin teased the arrival of a new speedster villain Savitar in "The Flash" season 3 during the EW Popfest event. Gustin hinted that Savitar will be arriving "very very soon", while Berlanti explained that he will be some sort of "god" like being will be Barry Allen/The Flash's greatest foe yet, Entertainment Weekly reported.
While Savitar's name is derived from the Hindu god of motion, he will likely be another powerful speedster that The Flash must stop in the new post-Flashpoint timeline. While Team Flash is busy fighting metahumans and Doctor Alchemy (Tobin Bell), Savitar will likely make his move against them in the later part of the show.
Savitar in the comics is egotistical and speed-obsessed, who has dedicated his life to unlocking the secrets of motion and learned powers that no-one else had ever been able to master, even becoming the leader of his own cult after picking up legions of dedicated followers.
In other news, the plot details of episode 7 titled "Killer Frost" will have Barry Allen/The Flash (Gustin) and Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) fight there friend and teammate Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) who has become her evil alter-ego Killer Frost.
The synopsis revealed that Caitlin used her metahuman powers to save Barry, but this causes her to change once again as her mother Dr. Carla Tannhauser (Susan Walters) warns her that the more she uses her powers the more the changes become permanent.
Barry's change of the timeline after "Flashpoint" has affected Caitlin Snow as her path to being Killer Frost has been heavily teased. Killer Frost first appeard in season 2 as an evil doppleganger of Caitlin in Earth 2 working with Hunter Zolomon/Zoom's (Teddy Sear).
The episode will be directed by Kevin Smith, who previously helmed the season 2 episode "The Runaway Dinosaur" and is set to direct an episode of "Supergirl" in its second season, Screenrant reported.
"The Flash" returns on Nov. 15 Tuesday 8pm on the CW Network.
