Uruguay only has two losses so far in the qualifiers and their first loss was back in matchday 3 in November last year, a 1-2 decision in their first meeting with Ecuador at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito.

Head coach Óscar Tabárez's team is coming off a 2-2 draw with Colombia at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla on Oct. 11, Goal reported.

The hosts scored the opening goal in the 15th minute with a strike from midfielder Abel Aguilar, but Uruguay was able to level the count 12 minutes later with a goal from winger Cristian Rodriguez.

Barça star Luis Suárez gave the lead to La Celeste in the 73rd, but Colombia found the equalizer in the 84th courtesy of defender Yerry Mina.

Meanwhile, Ecuador also settled to a 2-2 tie with lowly squad Bolivia during the previous matchday on the road at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, as per Fox News Latino.

Bolivia netted the first two goals, courtesy of a brace from attacking midfielder Pablo Daniel Escobar in the fourth and 43rd minutes, to help the hosts zoom off to a 2-0 halftime advantage.

However, head coach Gustavo Quinteros' side managed to score two goals, also with a brace from striker Enner Valencia, in the second half to salvage the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings.
