'Red Dead Redemption 2' rumors: Sequel's production to affect 'GTA6' release date; Nintendo Switch version, DLC coming to first to the PS4?

Rockstar Games officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 in th works for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

New "Red Dead Redemption 2" details will feature a rumored Nintendo Switch version, first DLC coming first to the PlayStation 4 and sequel's production to affect "GTA 6's" launch date.

With the announcement of "Red Dead Redemption 2" next year for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, many gamers are wondering if the sequel's production may have an effect on "Grand Theft Auto 6" in the future as several people may think that Rockstar Games may delay "GTA 6's" launch any further because of "Red Dead Redemption 2".

According to iDigital Times, gaming fans should not be worried about "Red Dead Redemption 2" affecting "Grand Theft Auto 6" due to the fact the Rockstar Games is divided into two very large and different divisions. The sequel will be developed by Rockstar San Diego, while "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be handled by Rockstar North.

Furthermore, "GTA 6" has not been announced officially since Rockstar Games is still busy handing down several DLC plans for "GTA Online" in "Grand Theft Auto 5" within the holidays and in 2017. Gaming fans will expect "Red Dead Redemption 2" to come out first and "GTA 6" afterwards.

Meanwhile, PS4 users will likely get a first experience of "Red Dead Redemption 2's" DLC on the PS4 console.

Sony signed a partneship with Rockstar Games as Sony's representative John Keller stated that he will take full advantage of the PS4 console as PS4 users will get first access to earn select online content for "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the console.

Rockstar Games revealed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have an online multiplayer gameplay feature called "Red Dead Online" similar to "GTA Online". The company previously tweeted hiring new candidates for an Operations Manager, which according to the job description, the chosen applicant will be handling an entire project life cycle and that would also include the quality testing of for Rockstars' upcoming video games.

The are also looking for video game testers, which have experience using Xbox Live, PSN, Steam and Rockstar Social Club. Another job post revealed that Rockstar is also looking for a .Net Engineer and is stated to placed on a team that will focus in improving online gaming performance.

Lastly, there are also rumors that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be ported to the Nintendo Switch. However, Wedbush securities analyst Michael Pachter is very skeptical over a Nintendo Switch version of "Red Dead Redemption 2", stating that chances of it happening are exceedingly poor.

Pachter explained his call of judgment from the specification of Nintendo Switch itself that diverges away from mainstream games. As such, Nintendo gamers will unlikely to get the likes of "Red Dead Redemption 2" anytime soon.

In addition, Nintendo may not have technology needed to make "Red Dead Redemption 2" playable to the Nintendo Switch, GameNGuide reported.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
