iPad Mini 5 to launch in 2017: Specs and features revealed

iPad Mini 5 will have a more powerful and efficient battery system than iPad Mini 4.

Apple's upcoming iteration has been in the rumor mills for quite some time already. Dubbed as iPad Mini 5, the tablet is speculated to be launched in 2017.

After the iPad Mini 4's unveiling on Sept. 9, 2015, the iPad Mini 5's launch was already expected to take place in an event in March. Nevertheless, some talks stated that the tablet may be released on the WWDC Developers Conference in June, and the launch event in September and October this year. But none there is no event of the Cupertino based company have discussed the iPad Mini 5. With this, recent rumors now suggest that the upcoming tablet will be unveiled on March 2017, Auto World News has learned.

Another mystery was the name of the upcoming tablet which based on some anticipation it could be named as iPad Pro or iPad Mini 5 or iPad Pro 7.9. Nonetheless, it the upcoming iPad is named "Pro" then, it would be 9.7 inch and 12.9-inch models. For the new iPad Mini 5, Apple Inc. might utilize Series 7000 aluminum, which is firmer and lighter.

The iPad Mini 5 might boasts Apple's 3D Touch tech. Also, some wild anticipation also suggests that this upcoming tablet might feature an IP68 protection and NFC. There is no camera upgrades expected for the iPad Mini 5.

The iPad Mini 5 is also predicted to run on iOS 10 as it comes out the box. Rumors suggest that the upcoming model of iPad Mini would be engineered by Apple A8 processor and M8 motion co-processor.
