Sony has unveiled a new God of War video game during the E3 2016 event and it will feature Kratos and his son fighting Norse monsters and gods.

The latest game details for the new "God of War" PS4 will feature Kratos using Mjolnir, leaked pre-order and release date and no PSX 2016 appearance.

New rumors are making rounds regarding a new weapon that Kratos could use in the new "God of War" sequel for the PlayStation 4 as game director Cory Balorg teased that the Ghost of Sparta will likely wield Thor's hammer, Mjolnir as an ultimate weapon.

Balrog hinted that the Mjolnir will serve as the ultimate weapon in the new "God of War" title similar to the Sword of Olympus, Gamingbolt reported. Fitting that Kratos would wield such a weapon in the future as he is now living in Norway and is now facing monsters and gods of Norse mythology.

Meanwhile, the pre-order details and possible release date for "God of War" has been revealed as Amazon claimed that gamers can now pre-order it at $59.99 with a released date placeholder on Dec. 29, 2017.

For now, Santa Monica Studio has not yet revealed the exact month and date for "God of War's" release date, but gaming fans will eagerly wait for the announcement next year.

In fact, Balrog explained that that there are no exact dates planned yet for the new"God of War" sequel as they are still figuring out the best way to launch the game until it is finished.

Lastly, Santa Monica Studio will not be announcing more details of "God of War" in this year's PlayStation Experience event as Balrog tweeted that he will just be participating in the activities, although he did promise gaming fans something exciting when the game is ready.

The game studio also confirmed that hey are not releasing more demos "God of War" at least in the near future as Balrog told the gaming fans that they rather spend time working on and completing the game.

Balrog added that PS4 users can play the new "God of War" sequel in the regular PlayStation 4 consol, thus they do not need a PS4 Pro support to experience the action, Forbes reported.

The new "God of War" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4.
