The latest game details for "Resident Evil 7" will feaure new monsters, a new demo next month and an early launch date for the sequel.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding an early release date for "Resident 7" before its official scheduled launch on Jan. 24, 2017.
According to iDigital Times (via GameNGuide), an unusual change in the SteamDB page revealed that the supposed Jan. 24 release date was changed into Jan. 1. The publication added that change in the SteamDB had other meaning and it is not a coincidence. However, the Jan. 1 release of the game is one of peculiar dates retailers.
Other speculations and theories suggest that Jan. 1 release date could be another game demo of "Resident Evil 7" before the official title launches on Jan. 24.
So far, Capcom has not made any statements regarding the rumored early release date of "Resident Evil 7".
In other news, Capcom launched two new game trailers for "Resident Evil 7" which revealed sequel's latest monsters.
The first trailer is titled "Shadow" and it showcased a new humanoid monster that is about to attack Ethan. Nothing is much shown on the monsters appearance, but it does have razor sharp claws and its head is covered by its sharp teeth.
The second trailer is called "Aunt Rhody" and it sees gamers going up the stairs as they hear a very creepy and spooky humming sound. As the player's reach the stairs, they will see an old woman sitting on a wheelchair. It is unknown if Aunt Rhody is a member of the cannibalistic Baker family, an innocent looking old woman or something entirely different enemy.
Previous trailers revealed that unique puzzle solving features of "Resident Evil 7" and two characters; Ada Wong and Sheva Alomar are hinted to appear in the sequel.
In addition, Capcom announced that a new demo called "Tape 3" for "Resident Evil 7" will be out on December, although they did not mention any specific date, VG 24/7 reported.
Capcom previously claimed that that "Resident Evil 7" will be a PlayStation VR exclusive game for throughout 2017 and they will not have any plans to port the sequel to other video game platforms for the time being.
However, there is still a possibility that "Resident Evil 7" will be available to other VR gear headsets as the exclusivity window of the sequel to PS VR is only 12 months, and after that gamers will experience it using the Oculus Rift and Vive VR gears.
"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 24, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
