Gen II Pokemon spotted on Pokemon GO’s APK code via SilphRoad; Added features include quest, lockout system

Niantic has applied new changes to egg-hatching for "Pokemon Go" with more improvements expected to follow.

Generation II Pokémon may be coming soon to the AR world of "Pokémon GO" after a team of Pokemon enthusiasts, The Silph Road, managed to view the game's codes of the APK version 0.45.0, along with the discovery of a new "Transform" move that hints the coming of Ditto.

After the preliminary look made by The Silph Road team, new features and upcoming modes are confirmed including the "Lockout System" and "the Quest System."

According to the SilphRoad website that is known to be a community of Pokémon Trainers, codes for 100 new Pokémon (from #152 Chikorita to #251 Celebi on the Pokédex) or all of the Generation 2 Pokemon are now part of the game, although a client update should be done before the latest addition of Pokemon appear in the game's roster.

The latest update includes code for a new move called "Transform," which directly translates to Pokemon Ditto's ability. Thus, it is rumored that the elusive Pokemon might be added into the mix.

As stated on SilphRoad, the GAME_MASTER file does not currently include the move "Transform" in Ditto's movesets. Currently, the only move Ditto can use is "Struggle." The article follows a speculation that the move "Transform" may never officially become a Ditto 'move' for it will instead simply be an 'occurrence' that happens every time Ditto enters combat.

Ditto is a Generation 1 Pokémon, although trainers have not spotted the Pokemon in the actual game yet.

More so, the team of data miners has unlocked a game feature that is indicated as an "anti-gym-sniping" system, the lockout system. The description on the added feature says that players will receive a new error message if they are locked out, an 'ending millisecond' timer for deploy lockouts.

Also, the data miners also picked up references to a new daily and weekly quest system, which will reward players with bonuses for completing tasks.

Above all these rumors, Pokemon Go creator Niantic is still silent on the alleged big update coming to the AR game. As the Niantic maker said "We're continuing to evolve and grow Pokemon Go but we don't comment on unannounced details or rumors and speculation."
