The new Microsoft Xbox One S, console is announced during Microsoft Xbox news conference on June 13, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

The Black Friday 2016 sale is fast approaching and many tech enthusiasts are looking for a device to buy. Here is a keen comparison of the Microsoft's Xbox One S and Xbox One to help consumers decide.

Forbes had learned that outstanding aspect to the Xbox One S is its design. Microsoft MSFT +0.51% has done a very great job in furnishing the Xbox One into a far more compact and eye-catching chassis that is almost 40% smaller. In numbers the Xbox One measures 333 x 276mm x 78mm (13.1 x 10.8 x 3.1 in) and 3.5 Kg (7.8 lbs) while the Xbox One S is 295 x 230 x 64mm (11.6 x 9.0 x 2.5 in) and 2.9 kg (6.4 lbs).

The Xbox One 2 also boasts a better connectivity compared the Xbox One, as it has 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI 2.0, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0, Built-in IR blaster. On the other hand the Xbox One has 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x Kinect, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Ethernet.

Additionally, Headlines &Global News reported that the Xbox One S is engineered by a 1.75GHz 8-core AMD Jaguar that works hand-in-hand with a GPU of 1.4 TFLOP AMD Radeon, 8GB DDR3. In comparison, the Xbox One is powered by 1.75GHz 8-core AMD Jaguar coupled with a GPU of 1.31 TFLOP AMD Radeon, 8GB DDR3 RAM.

The small CPU clock improvement paired with HDMI 2.0 support offers two positive effects. The first is that there is a support for 4K up scaling and another is the support added for High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Lastly for the price, the Xbox One has a cost that starts from $249 (500GB, 1TB HDD) on the other hand the Xbox One S is expected to arrive on market shelves tagged from $299 (500GB, 1TB and 2TB limited edition HDD).
