The latest details and possible spoilers for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature Peter Parker getting a new suit and Liz Allen as his love interest in the film.
New rumors are making rounds regarding Peter Parker/Spider-Man's (Tom Holland) love interest in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as pop singer/cast member Zendaya stated in an interview that her character "Michelle" will not act as a romantic opposite of Peter in the film and was speculated to be the Marvel Cinematic version of Mary Jane Watson.
Zendaya's character was described as a dry, awkward, intellectual and a deep personality, something that contrast Mary Jane's personality to the comics, being a outgoing, friendly and confident. However, a new reports hints that Peter will have a love interest in the film and it not be Michelle.
According to the Latino Review, Peter's classmate Liz Allan (Laura Harrier) will be his romantic opposite in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" . The romance between Peter and Liz will be similar to the Spider-Man comic books as Peter was attracted to the popular Liz Allan, but she was dating Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori). In Spidey lore, there is a whole plotline where Peter tutors Liz, who was popular in high school, and while she initially treats him like a nerd, she eventually falls for him, leaving Flash, denounces the cool kids, and goes to be with Peter.
Liz Allan is one the many love interest in Spider-Man's history joining the likes of Mary Jane Waston and Gwen Stacy.
In other news, it seems that Peter will likely get a new Spider-Man suit by the end of "Homecoming".
An unused concept art from "Captain America: Civil War" revealed a hidden message for Peter from Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) during the second credit scene, insisting that Peter should come by Avengers tower and check the new upgrades.
It is speculated that Peter will likely don the "Iron Spider" suit, an technologically advanced outfit created by Stark in the comics. Both Peter and Stark will have a mentor-student relationship as the Iron Avenger took Spidey under his wing. The Iron Spider suit was being considered in "Captain America: Civil War", but was scrapped in favor of the updated classic Spider suit, Screenrant reported.
Tony Stark will appear in "Spider-Man: Homecoming", but the exact details of his role in the the film is still unnknown.
Holland confirmed in an interview that he will appear in six Marvel films in the MCU, three will be "Spider-Man" and the rest are separate appearance possibly indicating that Peter will be part the Avengers both group and for the solo heroes.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
