GOP Nominee Donald Trump Casts His Vote In The 2016 Presidential Election

Except for Republicans, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is a divisive leader with a lot of Americans hating the billionaire. The dislike is seen in the number of protests against his looming presidency and a new game making fun of his hair.

Because of Trump’s “Make America great again” battle cry, he is alienating nations doing trade with the U.S. such as China. However, one young Trump is making Chinese smile. She is four-year-old Arabella Kushner, the daughter of Ivanka Trump, Global Times reported.

Kushner has a video reciting Tang Dynasty poems for the Chinese Lunar New Year in February. Besides reading the decades-old Chinese poems, Kushner wore a traditional qipao and stood on a table to recite works by famous poets such as Li Bai.

The poetry reading was almost a year ago, but it was reposted on Sina Weibo on news of Trump’s election on Nov. 8. It was a pre-bedtime Chinese New Year party, explained Ivanka who captioned the video: “She got all dressed up and performed songs and poems for Jared, Joseph and me.”

Her fluency with the Chinese tongue is because Kushner has been studying Putonghua since she was 18 months old, according to Daily Mail. The viral video would mark the end of the Year of the Monkey on Jan. 27, 2017. The video received good feedback from Chinese netizens.

One Weibo user wrote that the four-year-old granddaughter of America’s 45th president is “surprisingly cute and impressive.” A user named Orange wrote that Kusher would hopefully fall in love with Chinese culture. stAu79 thinks the incident showed how important education is on Trump because he did not close the door on foreign culture.
