Conor McGregor made history at UFC 205 when he became the first-ever UFC fighter to hold two title belts at the same time. WWE executive Triple H was in attendance at Madison Square Garden with the latest rumors suggesting that he wants McGregor to appear an episode of Monday Night Raw very soon.

McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez via second round technical knockout. He showed everyone that his left hand is something to be scared about. He also had a great message to all of his haters and doubters, who had no words for his magnificent performance.

The brash Irishman also revealed after the fight that he would not be stepping inside the Octagon until the UFC gives him a stake in the company. That shocking news opens the door for the WWE to try and get him to appear on WWE television.

According to the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required), Dave Meltzer mentioned that the WWE is "very much" interested in signing McGregor to a deal. It will only be part-time deal wherein he is going to appear on WWE television, possibly to boost ratings for Raw and SmackDown.

The talk of McGregor to WWE started when the 28-year-old superstar announced his retirement from mixed martial arts earlier this year. He also started following Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on social media.

However, it was all a work done by his camp to get the UFC's attention. Then McGregor started insulting WWE superstars and called them out. He also took a shot at Brock Lesnar with many fans thinking it was just a ploy to get a lot of talk about McGregor's rematch with Nate Diaz.

Meltzer also noted that the WWE and the UFC had an on-going talk about a possible deal to work together. McGregor's comments reportedly had an effect on the negotiations but there is certainly something going on between the two companies.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Triple H revealed that McGregor looks like a WWE superstar because of his qualities. He also thinks that the UFC champion can be successful inside the squared circle like Floyd Mayweather, who defeated Big Show at WrestleMania 24 back in 2008.

"He could come over, he's got it all, man - he's got the personality, the skills, the talk. He's an entertainer, for sure. What does he walk around at? 180lbs? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200lb guys who are stars. You don't need to be 300lbs anymore," Triple H said.

"He could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show. That really worked. Conor could do it for sure," he added.
