The official OnePlus company logo reimagined with gold color instead of red.

After several weeks of OnePlus 4 rumors, the new model in the flagship line turned out to be the OnePlus 3T which is an upgrade over the current OnePlus 3 smartphone from the company.

Not conforming to the standard hardware cycles, the OnePlus 3T launches roughly about half a year when the original OnePlus 3 was released. It is obviously more expensive but it does have better specs under the hood.

In the spirit of faster and better smartphones, the OnePlus 3T has a new and improved processor. The OnePlus 3T dons the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with a generous 6GB RAM, Fast Company has learned.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said: " We developed the OnePlus 3T to bring significant improvements with new technology that is available today, so that our customers do not have to wait for the best possible user experience."

OnePlus 3T Specs and Features

Compared to the original OnePlus 3, the rear camera of the OnePlus 3T is bumped up to 16MP. That puts it about the same as the LG V20's specs. It also has Optical Image Stabilization and the new Electronic Image Stabilization for smoother videos and photos despite shaky hands.

The OnePlus 3T also has a larger battery at 3400mAh which is a 13 percent upgrade from the original OnePlus 3, WIRED UK reported. The front camera has 8 megapixels which makes it better than most flagships in the arena.

Unfortunately, the display of the device has not changed much. It still has the same 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display similar to the original OnePlus 3. Some expect that the upgrade to a QHD screen will be seen in the OnePlus 4 which is slated for 2017.

OnePlus 3T starts at $439 for the 64GB gunmetal version but there will be a 128GB version as well. It will be launched in the United States starting on November 22.
