Sherlock Season 4 Actor Benedict Cumberbatch portrays the character of 'Dr Strange' for the latest Marvel comic film.

"Doctor Strange" has been receiving mostly positive reviews from both critics and average movie-goers alike. Now, fans are expecting to see Asgard's Loki as the villain in "Doctor Strange 2"

Marvel Studios has not yet officially publicly announced a sequel for Doctor Strange, IGN has learned. The latest movie has reportedly made $85 million domestically in its opening weekend alone in the country and roughly $332 million worldwide plus the end credits said that "Doctor Strange" will return.

Audiences are expecting to see Dr. Strange battle some of the evil deities, demon gods, and supernatural creatures he's intertwined with in Marvel Comics. Some of these Lovecraftian characters include Shuma-Gorath, Set, Satannish, and Null the Living Darkness.

Marvel's "Doctor Strange 2" sequel could also see the villain Empirikul who wants to rid the world of other sorcerers like Mordo does as seen in the post-credits. More female characters, specifically sorcerers, could also appear in the sequel.

Fans could also be treated to more funny and witty dialogue between Strange and Wong in the sequel. The story and plot has not been told yet as the film could take place after the Infinity Wars.

The sequel should show sufficient challenge that is a large enough threat to thwart for Doctor Strange to finally earn the title of Sorcerer Supreme. Another secret society could also be introduced in the new sequel.

Marvel has preserved the majority of its antagonists as throwaway analogs to the heroes, CINEMABLEND reported. Loki is a noteworthy exception considering that most of the villains in Phases 1 and 2 were introduced but killed within the course of a single movie.

While "Doctor Strange" could continue that trend with Kaecilius and maybe Dormammu, the end credits does show Mordo as the next villain for the sequel. The series of events in the movie does show how Mordo is led to the conclusion that there are too many sorcerers in the world.

Fans will have to wait for an official trailer or announcement from Marvel themselves regarding the "Doctor Strange" sequel. The sequel is not expected to be revealed until after the first Infinity War MCU film.
