‘Super Mario Run’ app store release date, news & updates: One-time payment required for game's three modes; Android version coming in 2017

"Super Mario Run" has finally arrived on Apples iPhones and iPads after a long wait and speculations. Nintendo's upcoming "Super Mario" game for the said iOS platform is set for release the next month with a reasonable price and unique game features.

The world-renowned "Mario" game has finally received a release date confirmation from the gaming giant saying that it is set for release on Dec. 15, in United States time zones. 9to5Mac also highlighted that the upcoming release for iPhone and iPad devices of the highly anticipated game app. will also be launched in 151 countries and regions worldwide.

Reports also claim that since it will be available worldwide, a multi-language support system or option has been specifically incorporated for player's convenience. And the language would likely include but not limited to English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and Traditional Chinese language options.

With regards to the price, unlike previous speculations of the iOS exclusive game app. going free of charge, "Super Mario Run" will be priced at $9.99 to unlock the full game. Based on the report surfacing online, players would have to pay almost $10 to be granted unlimited access to each of the three modes.  And this announcement somehow assures future "Mario" players that they will not be paying additional cash in the later part of the game, unlike another game app. requiring fees for upgrades or level-ups.

Apart from the price, players Apple users should also take note that the iOS "Super Mario" is compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running iOS 8.0 or later versions. Thus, making it more convenient and comfortable for players to download and immediately use.

While iOS users are excited for the arrival of "Super Mario Run" to their devices come December, Nintendo has still yet to announce the arrival of the game on Android platforms. But based on the report of Wired, the company hints the potential Android version of the "Super Mario" game in the early months of 2017.
