Watford has been inconsistent in the last six rounds with two wins, two losses, and two draws. The team is currently settled at the eighth spot of the English top flight table, only a point above ninth-place team Burnley and three points below sixth and seventh-running squads Manchester United and Everton.

The Hornets were crushed by Liverpool, 1-6, on the road at the Anfield on Nov. 6 to snap their four-game unbeaten run, as per the Telegraph.

Liverpool zoomed ahead to a 5-0 lead in the first 60 minutes of the contest courtesy of goals from Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, and a brace from Sadio Mane to demoralize the visitors throughout the match.

Watford was able to score a consolation goal in the 75th minute with a goal from Dutch defender Daryl Janmaat to put his team on the board as head coach Walter Mazzarri's squad avoided a shutout. Georginio Wijnaldum completed the Reds' six-goal haul with a strike in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, the reigning champs continued to struggle in their title-defense this season as they lost to West Bromwich Albion, 1-2, at their own home ground of King Power Stadium on Nov. 6, Daily Mail Online reported.

After a goalless first half of play, West Brom midfielder James Morrison broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute with a header off an assist from fellow Scottish Matt Phillips.

The Foxes were able to quickly level the count three minutes later with a goal from Algerian striker Islam Slimani from a cross by compatriot Riyad Mahrez.

However, West Brom managed to find the winner in the 72nd, with Phillips this time scoring the goal.

It was the fifth winless performance of head coach Claudio Ranieri's boys in their last six outings.
