Crystal Palace has lost four straight games and is winless in their last five to drop to the 16th place in the Premier League's overall standings, only a point above the bottom three relegation area. They are tied on points with fellow struggling teams Middlesbrough and West Ham United.

The Eagles are coming off a heartbreaking 2-3 loss to newly-promoted side Burnley on the road at the Turf Moor on Nov. 5 for their fourth consecutive defeat, as per Goal.

Burnley scored the first two goals of the contest in the second and 14th minutes, courtesy of Sam Vokes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson, to take a 2-0 lead at the half.

Palace was able to trim the gap to one point right at the hour mark with a strike from substitute winger Connor Wickham off his first touch in the game coming from a cross by teammate Wilfried Zaha.

Head coach Alan Pardew's side then equalized the game in the 81st with a spot kick from striker Christian Benteke.

The game looked headed to a 2-2 draw, but Burnley forward Ashley Barnes was able to score the winner in stoppage time to deny the Eagles the win.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is also reeling at the moment with only one win in their last five games.

City was held to a 1-1 draw by another newly-promoted team, Middlesbrough, at their home ground of Etihad Stadium also on Nov. 5, the Mirror reported.

Argentine striker Sergio Agüero netted the opening goal in the 43rd minute but the visitors were able to find the equalizer in injury time with a strike from Dutch midfielder Marten de Roon.

Head coach Pep Guardiola's squad is expected to redeem themselves from their previous lackluster performances in this match against Palace.
