With the tvN drama "The K2" recently ending its 16-episode run, the production's cast members now have the chance to look back and review their performances. Girls Generation group member Yoona critiqued her own acting and shared her thoughts on whether she was able to effectively portray her character's emotions on screen.

Yoona is one of the South Korean celebrities who also explored a dual career, both in acting and singing. With several drama productions under her belt, the Girls Generation group member has proven that she possesses a talent for acting. However, the singer can be very critical of her own performance, most recently her portrayal of Anna in the tvN drama "The K2."

Described as a young woman who suffers from panic attacks given her social disorder, the character Anna presented a different acting challenge for Yoona. Despite her impressive performance in the tvN drama, the singer shared that she was not happy with some of her scenes.

In a press event held on Nov. 16, Wednesday, the Girls Generation group member mentioned her wish of having depicted a better portrayal of Anna's emotions. The subtle changes in Anna's behavior that made her warm up to her bodyguard Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) should have been expressed more clearly in the drama, Korea Herald quoted Yoona as saying.

Yoona explained, "Anyone would isolate [Anna] from the world she lived in, and [Je Ha] was the only exception. That's how [Anna] opened her mind to the bodyguard. I wish I could have depicted those subtle emotional change better."

The Girls Generation singer may have been critical of her acting, however, the drama's producing director (PD) Kwak Jung Hwan praised Yoona for her performance in "The K2." In an earlier interview with TV Report, the PD commended the singer and actress for her dedication to her craft and her passion for acting.

Kwak even mentioned of Yoona's potential to become a great actress in the near future. He added, "There is a lot of potential for development."

"The K2" aired its final episode on Nov. 12, Saturday on tvN. Watch the final scenes in the series finale below:
