Lee Min-Ho, 29, just got real about what it is like to work with veteran actress Jun Ji-Hyun. Recently, the Hallyu star admitted he was initially intimidated by his "The Legend of the Blue Sea" co-star.

On Nov. 15, Tuesday, "The Legend of the Blue Sea" held a press conference with the cast members, screenwriter Park Ji-Eun and director Jin Hyuk and Park Seon-Ho in attendance. There, Lee said he had a case of jitters while he was filming with the "My Sassy Girl" actress, although they managed to get comfortable with each other in the end.

"After we got comfortable, our reactions toward each other got better and our chemistry became smoother," Antara News Agency quoted Lee as saying, as cited by The Jakarta Post. "I hope this will have a good result."

Aside from his co-star, Lee also talked about his cold-blooded swindler role. He stated he has been worried that people would criticize that the role has been beautified through the drama, adding that it is a Robin Hood-like conman who deceives bad people.

Jun, who was also present at the event, shared her thoughts on her mermaid role. The "Windstruck" actress said she was truly happy when she first learned that she would portray a mermaid.

For Jun, the role is not something that one can frequently find in films or dramas. Since mermaids are extremely mysterious and stimulate the imagination, the veteran actress thought she could have a great room to effectively portray the character. She then emphasized Shim Chung is way different from Cheon Song-Yi, adding that the former is portrayed as a dazzling and modern woman.

"Since I previously worked with the writer Park in the 'My Love from the Star,' I was in a similar lovely role, so I had confidence portraying her," Jun said. "But it could also give me the challenge to differentiate Sim Chung from my previous role. Those underwater scenes and the episodes involving her first encounter with the modern world would make my new role stand out from others."

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" kicked off its run on Nov. 16, Wednesday, with an impressive viewership rating of 16.4 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by The Kpop HeraldCheck out the SBS show here:
