Kim Woo-Bin starrer "Master" film is just a few months away and with its looming release date, new details are bound to come out. Latest reports claimed the upcoming South Korean thriller film was pre-sold to 31 countries.
The good news came to light when film's distributor CJ Entertainment spilled the beans to The Kpop Herald on Nov. 18, Friday. It is said that the movie's distribution rights have been sold to big companies in the Philippines, United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, Thailand, Taiwan and several other countries.
"Master" reportedly garnered huge interest when it was featured at the American Film Market and Conferences in Santa Monica from Nov. 02 until Nov. 09. The thriller film will hit the US theaters at some point in December and will then hit Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, respectively.
Directed by Cho Ui-Seok, "Master" offers a lens into the chaotic world of a crime syndicate and a criminal investigation team that is chasing them down. The film stars Kim as Park Jang-Gun, the Section Chief of One Network. He is the brain behind Chairman Jin (Lee Byung-Hun), a notorious fraudster-business mogul.
Sudden twists and turns are set to happen when Kim's character later conflicted between Chairman Jin and detective Kim Jae Myung (Kang Dong-Won). The latter is an experienced team leader of the intellectual crime investigation unit.
"Master" also stars Oh Dal Soo as Prosecutor Hwang Myung Joon, Uhm Ji Won as Lieutenant Shin Gemma, and Jin Kyung as Kim Eom Ma, the advertising executive of the network. More details about the thriller film will be revealed soon.
In other news, the "Uncontrollably Fond" will become the next Hallyu star to release a smartphone under his name. He will be the model of the Samsung Galaxy S7 phone that will be released for a limited time on Nov. 21, Yonhap News Agency reported. Much to the delight of many, the accumulated profit will be donated to a certain charity that aims to help children with rare diseases.
