Apple is about to issue iOS 10.2 but the jailbreak providers remain silent. Both Pangu and TaiG are not saying anything on the matter. Or is there really a chance that an iOS 10 jailbreak release will ever happen? However, the jailbreak community is not totally idle thanks to the stream of new Cydia apps and tweaks.
Of course, jailbreak tweaks are hardly replacements for a new jailbreak, the latest version of which is Pangu's iOS 9.3.3, but they do wonders to at least tide over jailbreak fans, at least until the new JB tool comes touching down.
For the last two weeks, iDownloadblog.com has listed a number of interesting jailbreak tweaks, which the blog site said are not too many these days considering that the next moves coming from both Pangu and TaiG are still unknown. While waiting for the next jailbreak release, if any, these new Cydia apps should be worth the while.
PasswordRecovery
Even in the jailbreak world, security and privacy are still of prime concern and one solid proof is the new tweak PasswordRecovery that for the most part makes it no pain for iPhone and iPad users to manage password and passcodes. The tool provides security protection not only to a mobile device but also so social media or other web-based accounts.
"It works with your social media apps, as well as with your device's passcode, and should you ever forget them, you'll never have to go through complicated password reset processes again, as a simple means of authenticating yourself will provide you with your password so you can sign in more easily," iDownloadblog.com said.
Be reminded though that enjoying the convenience and protection provided by PasswordRecovery comes at a cost but at dirt cheap $1.50.
PullOver
This tweak serves as a quick shortcut to favorite apps or more correctly, it allows pinning of apps for easy access and dismissal without the need to fully open an application and leave the Home interface. According to iDownloadblog.com, the tweak is easy to use and ready to get without charges.
EmojiSuggest
While still waiting for an iOS 10 jailbreak, an integral messaging feature of the software is brought to the jailbreak world by the EmojiSuggest tweak. "EmojiSuggest is a great new tweak that brings Emoji to the predictive keyboard on jailbroken iOS 9 devices. As you're typing words, it will suggest Emoji to use instead," iDownloadblog.com said.
The tool is useful to jailbreak fans that elected not to install iOS 10.
ClearClockView
Another free tweak that as the name suggests will make the Clock app transparent, obviously for aesthetic use.
As for the iOS 10 jailbreak release, the same report indicated that either TaiG or Team Pangu will be the provider despite the last proof showed off by Luca Todesco of an iPhone 7 running on jailbroken iOS 10.1.1. But if Cydia creator Saurik is to be asked, it is Pangu that will release the next jailbreak. When it is happening, he did not say.
