Misty Knight and Jessica Jones' encounter with one another might result in a messy love triangle in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. It is rumored that Misty, who first appeared on "Luke Cage," will make her way to Jessica's side of town in the upcoming season.
Reports suggest that Misty Knight, a former NYPD police officer, might join Luke Cage as they help Jessica Jones fight bad guys in Hell's Kitchen in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. It has been previously teased that one of the characters in "The Defenders" will appear in "Jessica Jones" Season 2, which will be filmed after "The Defenders" wraps up.
According to Screen Rant, Misty and Jessica will run into each other in "The Defenders." Based on the photos from the set of "The Defenders," Jessica and Misty's first meeting does not look pretty, especially with Jessica appearing all bloodied up. It is presumed that Misty has been tracking down Jessica to seek help for Luke who, following the events in "Luke Cage," has been taken to Georgia to serve his prison sentence.
In an interview with EW, "Jessica Jones" showrunner Melissa Rosenberg said that all of the showrunners of the different Marvel shows on Netflix were consulted by Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie when they assembled "The Defenders."
"They want my input, they want all the different showrunners' input on the characters that they're most familiar with," the same publication quoted Rosenberg as saying. She added that the story in "The Defenders" may eventually lead to events in "Jessica Jones" Season 2.
If ever Misty Knight is in "Jessica Jones," this may lead to a potential triangle involving her, Jessica and Luke. It can be recalled that Jessica and Luke had a somewhat romantic relationship in "Jessica Jones" Season 1, and sparks also flew between Luke and Misty in "Luke Cage."
Not much has been revealed about the storyline for "Jessica Jones" Season 2 as filming will only begin after "The Defenders" is completed. So far, there are rumors that Trish Walker would make the transition into her alter-ego Hellcat. Actress Rachel Taylor previously expressed interest in playing the role of a female superhero, much like her onscreen best friend Jessica.
