'Sword Art Online' Season 3 release date announcement to happen on January 2017; Live-action 'SAO' to air first before the anime's third season?

Sword Art Online is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec as the story takes place in a near future and focuses on virtual reality MMORPG.

New details for "Sword Art Online" season 3 will feature a possible release date announcement next year and live-action "SAO" to come out first before the anime.

It seems that the release date announcement for "Sword Art Online" season 3 could happen in the early month of 2017 as Japanese composer and music producer Yuki Kajiura will be utilizing music from "Sword Art Online" for her very first solo concert performance in Hollywood, California.

Rumor has it that Yuki Kajiura's concert will serve as a way for "Sword Art Online" anime producers to announce its third season, as well as introducing the cast members of the live-action version of the anime. In addition, the possible plot of "SAO" season 3 could be the "Alicization" arc.

Anime producer Shinichiro Kashiwada claimed in an interview that he would like to see the "SAO" characters in the “Alicization” arc. Kashiwada added that he also intends to insert the "Progressive" novels in season 3, FX News Call reported.

The "Alicization" arc will feature a new "SAO" chapter involving Kirigaya Kazuto/Kirito's new job for a mysterious organization called Rath, under orders the VR Crime Division officer Kikouka Seijiro. Kirito will be testing out a new experimental 4th generation FullDive machine dubbed "Soul Translator" as he tries to observes its effects on people and gather more valuable data.

The "Sword Art Online Progressive" novels is a reboot of the original light manga illustrated by Himura Hiseki and was published by Dengeki G's Comics after they parted ways with the main magazine branch.

The "Yuki Kajiura LIVE featuring Sword Art Online" concert will be on Jan. 14, 2017 at the at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood & Highland.

Meanwhile, another rumor speculated that the "Sword Art Online" live-action series could be in production first before the anime's season 3, while others claim that season 3 could be in the works after "Ordinal Scale". The live-action "Sword Art Online" series could be shown on Netflix, ChattSportsNet reported.

For now, anime fans will get to see more Kirito and Asuna action in "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" film on February next year as the gang will playing a new MMORPG called "Ordinal Scale" and a new threat has emerge once more to test Kirito preventing another "SAO" incident.

Anime fans are looking forward to hear more news and updates for "Sword Art Online" season 3 next year.
