Struggling contenders Borussia Dortmund (6-3-3, 21 points) is scheduled to clash with reeling club Borussia Monchengladbach (3-5-4, 13 points) at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, Dec. 3 as the 2016-2017 Bundesliga season moves forward.

Borussia Dortmund is currently on a downward spiral with only two wins in their last six matches. The perennial contenders are settled in the seventh spot of the German top flight table at the moment, one point below the fifth and sixth-running teams Cologne and Hoffenheim, who both temporarily occupies the two Europa League qualifying berths for next season.

Dortmund is coming off a 1-2 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on the road at the Commerzbank Arena last Saturday, ESPN reported.

After a goalless first half of play, Hungarian midfielder Szabolcs Huszti broke the deadlock for Frankfurt one minute into the second half with a right-footed shot from the center of the box off an assist from teammate Timothy Chandler.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel's side then netted the equalizer in the 77th minute via a header from Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from a cross by French midfielder Ousmane Dembélé.

However, the Borussians conceded the winning goal to the hosts as Swiss forward Haris Seferovic hit a left-footer from outside the box with the assist this time coming from Huszti.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach has been winless in their last six outings, dropping them to the 13th spot of the 18-team league table.

Monchengladbach settled to a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim also last Saturday at their home ground of Stadion im Borussia-Park to snap a two-game losing skid, via SkySports.

Head coach André Schubert's side scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute with a left-footer from German midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from a pass by teammate Christoph Kramer.

Hoffenheim was able to find the equalizer in the 53rd minute courtesy of midfielder Nadiem Amiri off an assist by Sebastian Rudy.
