Pangu and the other hacking teams are still quiet about the promised iOS 10 jailbreak and iPhone users are growing weary of waiting for the jailbreaking tool.
Apple has recently released the iOS 10.1 update which may have prevented Pangu from releasing their jailbreak tool. Pangu was able to jailbreak iOS 10 during its beta phase as they demonstrated in the previous MOSEC 2016 event.
The demonstration showed that Pangu was capable of cracking the iOS 10 security. However, the lack of announcements and updates from the hacking team is already worrying iPhone users.
Pangu could just be waiting for Apple to release the iOS 10.2 before releasing their iOS 10 jailbreak tool, Neurogadget reported. If they do have an iOS 10.1 jailbreak tool, it would just be mostly useless if the Cupertino-based tech giant releases another update.
Users could still technically use an iOS 10.1 jailbreak if it existed but they would be risking the security of their iPhones and iPads. Part of the continued updates from Apple are the vulnerability and exploit patches to prevent hackers from taking control of their devices.
Apple is expected to launch the iOS 10.2 public version for users in December, Mac Rumors reported. The company already promised that users would enjoy the new 10.2 features next month which could mean that they will release the update before the year ends.
TaiG is also silent regarding the iOS 10 jailbreak and they could also be waiting for Apple to release a new update before rolling out their tool. Both TaiG and Pangu have released iOS 9.2 jailbreak tools in the past and they are two of the most famous names in the jailbreaking community.
Even if Apple does release the iOS 10.2 update, it could still take several weeks for Pangu or TaiG to crack the new security patches in order to provide the iOS 10 jailbreak tool. iPhone and iPad users should look out for their announcements regarding their progress.
