John Cena enters the ring at the WWE SummerSlam 2015.

John Cena was rumored to be unhappy with Vince McMahon and the WWE due to his return being pushed back to next year. However, the latest rumors have revealed the real reason why Cena is upset with the WWE at the moment.

It was reported by several media outlets that the 15-time WWE World champion is upset with WWE management. Many believed that it was due to Bill Goldberg and The Undertaker pushing back Cena's return to WWE television.

"Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect" has been out of television since September. He filmed the second season of his television show, "American Grit" and possibly a scene in the next Marvel movie, "Thor: Ragnarok."

However, a new report has revealed that Cena is unhappy because of part-timers getting paid more than him. According to Sportskeeda, the 39-year-old WWE superstar wants to get paid just like Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg.

"Cena feels that his dedication towards the WWE is taken for granted by Vince McMahon. It should be noted that Cena is still by far the highest earner in the WWE, earning a whopping $9.5 million a year. Lesnar, on the other hand, receives $6 million. The numbers are likely to be much higher if you included the merchandise sales," the report noted.

The leader of the Cenation has been very dedicated and loyal to the WWE. He has done everything he has been asked to do and he is doing all he can to make the company even bigger. However, Cena seems to be looking to make more financially while also slowly becoming a part-time WWE superstar.

Cena has been a full-time WWE superstar since 2002 but he has been taking outside projects as of late. He has hosted a couple of awards shows this year and he starred in several Hollywood movies. He also signed to produce reality television shows in the future.

And it seems like Cena is going to be even busier next year. According to Variety, he will be starring alongside Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz in the comedy movie titled "The Pact." Cena is slowly becoming the next successful wrestler-turned-actor following Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dave "Batista" Bautista.
