American semiconductor company AMD recently released the latest driver update for its modern graphics card and it includes several fixes. The AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.5 brings support for the recently released "Watch Dogs 2" and an additional feature for "Dishonored 2."

PC gamers who recently purchased Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs 2" will be happy to know that the game will be able to maximize the AMD video graphics card installed in their system.  A new CrossFire profile for DirectX 11 has also been added for Arkane Studio's "Dishonored 2." Fixes for the flickering issues on "The Division" and "Battlefield 1" when using the AMD CrossFire technology are also included in the update, according to the release notes posted on the company's support page.

AMD also listed eight known issues experienced by gamers with their cards, which include the problematic third-party "Raptr" in-game overlay. This prevents games from launching properly and the only option right now is to disable it. The CrossFire technology is now disabled on "Dishonored 2" for Windows 7.  Also, gamers using a dual Radeon RX 480 may experience flickering when playing "Watch Dogs 2," so they may need to disable it for the time being.

"Doom" and "DOTA 2" games could experience crashes when using Vulkan on some Graphics Core Next cards, while  "FIFA 17" gamers with PCs equipped with select Hybrid Graphics cards and AMD Power Xpress mobile configurations could experience black screen or game hangs.  The first "Overwatch" game might also experience flickering when using the AMD CrossFire mode.

Lastly,  not game related but equally important, is another unresolved issue involving the t H.264 playback on several Radeon RX 400 series graphics cards.  Users are currently experiencing "blocky corruption when streaming using P2P content players."

The AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.5 is designed to work on Windows 7/8.1/10 64 and 32-bit versions.  The latest driver is compatible with AMD Radeon RX 400 series, Pro Duo, R9 (Fury, Nano, 300, 200) series, R7 (300 and 200) series and R5 (300 and 200) series video graphics cards.  Additionally, it will also support the HD (8500 to 8900 and 7700 to 7900) series.
