Jeremy Lin of the Brooklyn Nets sits on the bench due to to injury during their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Barclays Center on November 8, 2016 in New York City.

Brooklyn Nets star point guard Jeremy Lin is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury since November 2. Even though he cannot play, Lin has found a way to help the team as he introduced "Linology" to his teammates.

The 28-year-old suffered the injury against the Detroit Pistons and tests showed that he will miss two to four weeks. It has been a month since the injury but it looks like Lin is set to miss Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks, per CBS Sports.

It will be the 13th consecutive game that Lin has missed due to the hamstring injury. The Nets are currently struggling as they have a 5-12 record overall and they have gone 3-9 without their starting point guard.

But while he is sidelined, Lin has found a way to help his teammates. The Harvard alum can be seen holding a clipboard and taking down notes. Apparently, he is calling it "Linology" which is a "self-styled version of offensive-efficiency statistics."

"Linology. It's beautiful. It's his way of showing he cares. He asked me if he could do it, and I said, 'Yeah, sure.' And he just does it, and he hands it to me after every game, and then I hand it to - you know, I'm not exactly sure where it goes," Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson told The New York Times in an interview.

However, Atkinson prefers having Lin on the court rather than him taking down notes on the bench. The return of Lin to New York has not been very successful just yet but he showed a glimpse of his former "Linsanity" self in the first several games in a Nets uniform.

Lin averaged 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.4 steals in his first five games. His best game in Brooklyn came in the 103-94 win over the Indiana Pacers on October 28. He had a near triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

The Asian-American guard signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Nets this offseason. It was to prove to everyone that he can be a starter once again for an NBA team. He was also persuaded by Atkinson, who was an assistant with the Knicks during the "Linsanity" days in 2012.
