Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

The latest details for "Star Wars Battlefront" will feature two characters from "Rogue One" in "Scarif" DLC and new movie contents in the next sequel.

Electronic Arts and DICE streamed a new gameplay trailer for "Star Wars Battlefront's" upcoming DLC expansion called "Scarif" and it features events and characters from the prequel movie "Rogue One: A Star Wars story".

The "Scarif" DLC will feature four new playable maps, as well as two playable characters from "Rogue One" movie; Jyn Erso for the Rebel Alliance and Orson Krennic from the Galactic Empire. In addition, upcoming DLC will let players fight in and around the tropical planet of Scarif with a brand new multi-stage game mode that includes space and ground combat, as well as, "Rogue One" inspired weapons and Star Cards, Gamerant reported.

EA and DICE will launch the "Scarif" DLC on Dec. 6 for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Gamers can purchase the DLC at $15 or gain access via the game's season pass.

In other news ,EA CFO Blake Jorgensen announced that the sequel for "Star Wars Battlefront" will have bigger contents that ever before. Gamers will likely see these new game features based from the new "Star Wars" films such as "Force Awakens" and episode 8.

Jorgensen addressed some of the reactions to "Star Wars Battlefront stating that there was criticism, and fans wanted more of it, which in his point of view will be a great way to spin a positive on the upset over the lack of single player modes.

While there is no confirmation of a single player campaign in the "Battlefront" sequel, Jorgensen concludes that they are taking that criticism to heart and addressing any criticism they had, Gamesradar reported.

DICE is developing Star Wars Battlefront 2 alongside another EA developer, Motive Studios. EA also announced "Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition" this month and it will feature all of the game's free DLC updates, season passes and expansions such as "Outer Rim", "Bespin", "Death Star" and upcoming "Scarif".

Gamers can get a hold of the "Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition" at a price of $40 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
