Meizu M5 Note flash sale to start at $145; Specs, price, features surface ahead of December 6 launch

Meizu is all set to unveil Meizu M5 Note on Dec. 6. It has sent out media invites for the unveiling event. Speculations suggest that Meizu M5 Note Metal will be also unleashed alongside.

Earlier leaks suggested that Meizu would officially launch the M5 Note in late November. It was later confirmed by the Chinese company that the unveiling event for the new phone is scheduled to be on Dec. 6 China's online mall, JD.com will be holding a flash sale on the launch date. As of Dec. 1, Playful Droid reported that 80,000 customers had reported for the first flash sale.

Meizu M5 Note, Meizu M5 Note Metal Pricing

The Meizu M5 Note price has been leaked online on Weibo by well known leakster @KJuma. The Meizu M5 Note will be costing CNY 999 ($145). The Meizu M5 Note Metal is expected to be priced at CNY 1099 ($159).

Meizu M5 Note Specs

The above mentioned pricing is for the 16 GB variants of Meizu M5 Note and M5 Note Metal. The pricing for their 32 GB storage variants are not disclosed yet. The Meizu M5 Note will come with 2GB of RAM while the Metal variant will come with 2.5GB of RAM, Phandroid reported. Apart from this, there is no info available on the differences between M5 Note and M5 Note Metal.

The M5 Note will feature 5.5-inch screen with the full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 MP2 graphic. The phone will come with storage variants of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. It will also have support for microSD card of up to 128GB.

The phone is expected to come with 13-megapixel rear camera with 5-megapixel front facing camera. Tbe 64 GB model will be equipped with 4,000 mAh battery whereas the other two variants will be packed with 3,920 mAh battery.

Meizu X smartphone powered by the Helio P20 chipset was unveiled on Nov. 30 in China. The device is available on pre-orders and the sale of this device will begin from Dec. 8.
