This could mean that Spawn will likely be added to "Injustice 2's" roster soon along with "Mortal Kombat" character Sub-Zero, Ubergizmo reported. NetherRealm Studios had a habit of putting several characters as guest fighters in their games. For example Freddy Krauger in "Mortal Kombat", Scorpion in "Injustice: Gods of Among Us" and Jason Voorheese, Leather Face, Predator and the Alien Xenomorph in "Mortal Kombat X".

NetherRealm Studios previously addressed the concerns over the "Gear System" in "Injustice 2" as gaming fans fear that the use of it could make the game unbalanced. Goodman explained that he and the game developers anticipated that the hesitation from the fans and the are developing it "intelligently" to deliver something new and unique for both gaming and comic book fans. He admitted that the gear system could indeed give off an unfair advantage to some players, but there are game modes that will cater to the players concerns to make in balanced as possible.

The sequel will likely launch on the first quarter of 2017 which is roughly on January-March based on GameStops marketing plan. "Injustice 2" will launch alongside other titles such as "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild".
