A screen grab from the trailer of the upcoming "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC.

The "Star Wars" season is definitely in the air once again as the spinoff featurette, titled "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," will be gracing the big screen over a week from now. That being said, console game buffs will also be snagging a part of the force through Electronic Arts' (EA) "Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif."

The upcoming downloadable content (DLC) will be the fourth and last in the "Battlefront" series before the game franchise heads towards its next sequel sometime next year. As the title of the expansion suggests, the skirmish will take place in the humid and tropical world of Scarif, where-long stretch of beaches and palm trees laden the planet.

According to EA's website, the game segment will feature  two of the notable characters in the upcoming film, namely Orson Krennic hailing from the Galactic Empire and Jyn Erso from the side of the Rebel Alliance, who also happens to be the main protagonist in the forthcoming film.

Apart from the new maps and the latest inductees of playable characters, the expansion will also be stashed with a new game mode known as Infiltration. The add-on is said to be a multi-stage bonus game faithful to the "Rogue One" movie.

Just like previous DLCs, "Scarif" will also chip in a couple of handguns that are must haves in the chaos-laden planet. Such hardware includes Jyn's A180 blaster that looks like a large-nozzled German luger and Orson's DT-29 pistol that claims to have a faster firing rate.

In addition, the Rebel Alliance's U-Wing fighter will also be part of the upcoming expansion which will be perfect in taking down towering All Terrain Armored Transports better known as an AT-AT.

According to Times Standard, the expansion's Season Pass will be out on Dec. 6 which includes previously released DLCs while its regular release date will be on Dec. 20.
