Next Jailbreak Based on iOS 10.1.1 but Exact Release Date, JB Tool Provider Remain Unknown – Report

Apple unveiled its mobile operating system, iOS 10, during WWDC 2016.

Is iOS 10 jailbreak still happening? A new report said there remains a window of opening for the likes of Team Pangu and TaiG to provide a modified version of the latest Apple mobile operating system but when the release date is and who will create the JB tool remain wrapped in mystery.

For starters, iDowndloadBlog.com is convinced that the question "Is iOS 10 open for jailbreaking?" has been adequately answered. True, the exploits might have been patched already but Pangu and iH8Sn0w have shown proofs in the past months that the software came with the necessary bugs to pave the way for a jailbreak.

And just recently, independent dev Luca Todesco showed an iPhone 7 running on a jailbroken iOS 10.1.1 and the hacker even made sure that the modification applies too with version 10.1.

So if iOS 10 is ready for jailbreaking, why the delay now in getting the finalized JB tool? In the same report, iDB said Apple's updating pace for iOS 10 is no doubt a key factor. The tech giant is working with impressive speed on patching bugs and correcting errors on iOS 10 that the likelihood is hackers are not catching up.

It could be that any from Pangu or TaiG has already cracked the OS when version 10.1 was issued but Apple swiftly deployed 10.1.1. Then it might be that a jailbreak is being developed for version 10.2 but for sure devs have been turned back by the deluge of beta releases of the same version, which now stands on beta 7 that for sure is loaded with fixes that kill likely jailbreaks.

In other words, Apple is outracing the jailbreak makers when the former accelerated its OS release mode. And truth to be told, iDB said the jailbreak scene is not as exciting or more appropriately, as profitable as it was. One solid indicator is the exit of Team Evad3rs for greener pasture.

Essentially, most jailbreak players are new as the old-timers have moved on to better things. And the ones that remain active are at best unpredictable, which best explains why there is too little information to go by when it comes to details regarding jailbreak releases.

And the only solid update that jailbreak fans can hold on to is the recent assurance or confirmation from Todesco that iOS 10 can be pried open for a working jailbreak. But the dev made clear that to be ready for the next jailbreak, one must stick with version 10.1.1 of the OS.

As for the exact iOS 10 release date schedule, Todesco like Pangu and TaiG is not too keen to titillate with details so the waiting game remains.
