BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment.

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, once again proved their growing popularity across the globe. The seven-member boy band nabbed the number one spot for brand power among the K-pop groups in the month of December.

Earlier this week, the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation released its December brand value index that covers the period from Nov. 8 until Dec. 9, All Kpop reported. The results are based on 35,993,778 pieces of data collected and analyzed by the said research institute.

BTS came in first place with a total score of 7,313,394, pushing EXO to the second place with only 5,799,101 points. SEVENTEEN then landed the third spot with 3,697,980 points. Following them are Senchskies, BTOB, B1A4, BIG BANG, VIXX, SHINee, INFINITE, B2ST, WINNER, Block B, B.A.P., MONSTA X, Super Junior, Shinhwa, 2PM, TVXQ, F.T. Island, 2AM, JYJ, TEEN TOP and ZE:A.

This comes after BTS' second studio album, titled "Wings," unsurprisingly topped the Gaon's physical album chart, as per the Korea Music Content Association (KMCIA), as cited by The Kpop Herald. It was then followed by EXO's "Ex'Act", while BTS' previous album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever" and EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama!" managed to secure the third and fourth spot, respectively.

"The sales amount of the Chinese and Korean versions of 'Ex'Act' adds up to more than 800,000," an official from KMCIA said. "But, since the index only counts individual albums, BTS' 'Wings,' which sold over 710,000, won first place."

BTS, who debuted in June 2013, said in a previous interview that they are stunned by the lyrics-come-true moments they are experiencing these days. The group's leader Rap Monster, 22, said they sang "The Most Beautiful Moment of Life" track and then woke up to experience it.

In spite of their immense popularity, BTS is still reaching for greater recognition in the global market. Whether it is through music or music video, the group admitted that they want to become people's must-see-in-this-life kind of band.

Rap Monster then admitted that a world tour is one of the strongest ways to make such dream come true. To him, embarking on a world tour is a badge of excellence in music and stage performing.
