Singer Nicki Minaj launched her own mobile game titled "Nicki Minaj: The Empire." The app is available for both iOS and Android devices and is developed by Glu Mobile Inc., which also developed "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood."

The game focuses primarily on emulating the career of a superstar and building an empire. However, unlike the Kardashian app, this one revolves around rap music and even allows players to write and record their own music with it.

Also, featured in the game is the artist's new single "Ain't Gone Do It." However, in keeping in line with the game's interactive nature, only the first verse is sung by Minaj and players will then finish the song with their own recordings. Players can also use their own custom beats in the game to create their own original music.

"The first time I played it and recorded a rap, I felt like a kid on Christmas. It's simple and it's fun and it's a way to interact with other people - maybe up-and-coming artists," Minaj told Entertainment Weekly. "My fans get a chance to put their rap on a beat with me and finish a song with me and that's pretty insane."

She states that this would have been something she could have enjoyed when she was still a young artist and it will aid new artists to be discovered. Minaj also stated that she would give concert tickets as a reward to those who manage to maintain the highest scores in the game, encouraging people to play.

According to Complex, the game will also allow players to engage with other players through chat rooms and will also be receiving exclusive content from Nicki Minaj herself. Like "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" there will also be mechanics focusing on improving the player's home and wardrobe but this sits behind the music, which is the app's main draw.
