Defending champions Juventus FC (13-3-0, 39 points) will look to extend its winning run to three games as they take on the challenge of second-running squad AS Roma (11-3-2, 35 points) in a 2016-2017 Serie A season match scheduled on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Juventus Stadium.

Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín scored a brace to lead Juve. He equalized the game in the 28th minute before grabbing the lead for his team in the 82nd. Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic then sealed the win in stoppage time with a right-footed shot, completing the hosts' three-goal haul.

Meanwhile, Roma nipped third-running team AC Milan, 1-0, at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday for their third straight win, BBC Sport reported.

Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan scored the game's winning goal in the 62nd minute, his second in the last two games for I Giallorossi.

It was the fourth win in five games for Roma as the team remained in the second spot of the league table, three points above Milan and four points below Juventus.
