Apple's AirPods are the answer to the non-existent headphone port in the iPhone 7.

Apple AirPods are finally on sale after being delayed from October. The reason for the delay was not announced but it could have something to do with supply issues.

After more than a month, the Apple AirPods are now available in the company's own online store. The Cupertino-based tech giant previously announced to the press that the product needed more time in development in order for it to be ready for the consumers. The exact reason was not disclosed to the public.

With the lack of the headphone port in the iPhone 7, many users are forced to use wireless headphones or adapters. Apple's AirPods are supposed to be the answer as it used the W1 wireless chip while also being an expensive choice for those who already bought the iPhone 7, The Verge reported.

Non-iOS users can still use the AirPods as it connects via Bluetooth technology. Apple claims that it can be used up to five hours on a single charge although the mileage may still vary depending on how it is used. One advantage is that the case charges the wireless headphones while they are stored away.

Not all brick-and-mortar stores carry the AirPods now but Apple assures their fanbase that they will regularly ship stocks for the said physical stores. The AirPods are also available in the online Apple Store for those who do not have the time to visit one.

In a statement obtained by The VergeApple said that the AirPods will launch globally across more than 100 countries,  The United States, Japan, Mexico, Australia, China and Canada are just some of the big ones that will receive the wireless headphones.

Customers with iOS devices that want to use the Apple AirPods will need to run the latest iOS 10 version. The macOS Sierra and watchOS 3 should also be updated as well.
