State of Decay

Game developer Undead Labs announced at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) the second installment for their zombie apocalypse themed game dubbed as "State of Decay 2." However, the game maker has remained tight-lipped about the details of the upcoming game sequel that is expected to be out sometime next year.

It was until just recently that both of Undead Labs' design director, Richard Foge, and chief executive officer, Jeff Strain had a conversation with IGN about the current status of "State of Decay 2." The CEO assured their fans that they'll be getting what they have been requesting since the first title was released. Strain pointed out that the map in the upcoming game will be more massive as compared to its predecessor.

When asked if there's in any way the new game will have a player versus player (PvP) game mode, Foge replied that there won't be any. He further explained that the essence of the game will be focused on decision-making and dealing with its consequences afterwards. Moreover, News Everyday highlighted that attacking other characters in the game might result in creating quite a ruckus that will eventually be heard by the undead making the situation a whole lot worse.

That being said, Strain also stated that the game heartens teamwork which is why players traverse the zombie-laden land in groups. However, the inbound installment will let players roam around far from the group that he's in making other players feel that it's a solo mission.

It was also noted that the new game was made using Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) which provided more tools that are far more efficient than the previous system that the first game used. Strain added that the new game developing suite will hasten the production of new features and updates that will be added into the game after it was released.
