Park Shin Hye follows ‘Running Man’ star Yoo Jae Suk’s good deeds; makes generous donation to keep families warm

Park Shin Hye has been known to make generous donations to organizations or programs that help less fortunate individuals. Similar to "Running Man" cast member Yoo Jae Suk's annual philanthropic deed, the South Korean actress recently donated to a foundation that helps families to stay warm during winter.

Many South Korean families will now have the chance to keep themselves warm during the winter season. Park donated 50 million won (approximately $43,000) to the Babsang Community Welfare Foundation, according to All Kpop.

The "Doctors" actress' generous donation will be used to purchase 83,340 coal briquettes. With the said quantity, around 556 less fortunate families will be given 150 coal bricks to help ward off the chill for one month.

Park actions mirror the philanthropic deeds that "Running Man" cast member Yoo has done for several years. The comedian and TV personality has been providing financial assistance to the same foundation in the past four years.

Meanwhile, the two South Korean celebrities have also secretly extended financial assistance to benefit the victims of a massive market fire in Daegu. A fire ravaged that Seonum Market on Nov. 30, Wednesday, that destroyed over 650 shops and injured two firefighters.

Park donated 50 million won ($43,000) to help the merchants recover from the fire, while Yoo also made a similar donation to Seonum Market victims, according to Yonhap News. The two celebrities' philanthropic deeds were separately confirmed by Park's entertainment agency and Yoo's manager.

Yoo and Park are just two of the South Korean stars who extended their assistance to less fortunate families and individuals over the years. Apart from their good deeds, the two stars have also become friends where Park made several guest appearances on Yoo's long-running SBS variety program "Running Man."
